I have 15 Windows XP PRO installs. All users have a Software Application that looks after Booking Facility Rooms and require to print contracts.
Prior to XP, I could install multiple instances of the same printer and then create a Printer Preference that I would attach to the Individual Applications.
In XP, I am able to set up a Printer Preference, but NOT multiple installs of the same Printer? This is a major difficulty for the users, whom print from varying software and now have to repeatedly go into the Print Properties and choose there Printing Preferences for EACH application. For the average user, this is not a problem, but when you are printing 100+ contracts and spreadsheets a day X's the number of users= a lot of wasted paper if they dont remember to go into the properties of the Printer and make changes.
Does anyone happen to have an idea as to how to install multiple instances of the same printer in XP, each with a different Preference setup?
