Multiple hard drive woes

ok, I have my pc-box almost done (an xbox shell with pc parts inside of it) and my problem is the hard drives. this is not a hardware problem, because all the drives work in my other pc, but this pc is intended to be a silent server. so I have three identical Maxtor Diamondmax 9 30gb drives. all three are detected in the bios, but the problem is in the device manager.

Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware because there is a duplicate device already running in the system. (Code 42)

Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device.

thats what it says in the device manager. windows is installed on one of the drives, and the other two will be using a software raid thru disk management in computer management, inside of administrator tools.

is there anything I can do to get all three drives to work?

specs of system:

Gateway e-1600 skt 370 mobo
Intel Pentium 3 Coppermine 933mhz
2x 128mb Kingston ValueRam
3x Maxtor Diamondmax 9 30gb hdd's
IBM 290w psu
xbox shell for case

all running XP Professional SP1

would updating to SP2 fix the issue?

btw I am currently using the pc-box to write this ^_^
