Multiple Anti-Virus programs -- problems?

We got a new computer a while back, and had Panda Antivirus installed, by technicians recomendation.
No complaints so far.
The software we got with the machine for restoration, if needed, is Norton Systemworks 2003, with anti virus.

In this day and age of being prepared...

Would we have problems if we installed Norton along side the Panda?
Running both at the same time.

I hate the idea of owning a licensed copy of a software, and not use it.
That and double protection these days sounds intriguing.

I understand your needs to be prepared - it's always a good idea.

Norton Anti Virus doesn't like other anti virus programs installed. Thats not to say it isn't possible - but if I remember right when you install norton anti virus it will say 'if detected' to remove other anti virus programs. Norton is one of the best but its a pig in windows compared to other anti viruses.


Personally I would rather have norton than Panda but thats just me.
