does it really pay off to have seperate patritions for each function of windows such as C: windows os, D: paging file, E: program files F: games and so on? I have not noticed and perfromance increase and it is getting on my nerves since i do alot of system restores. should i just revert back to C: and D: being the only partitions for 2 main OS'? )

you could improve IO performance by having each on its own physical disk. creating multiple partitions on one disk will not increase performance.

I never really noticed a difference tho.

it will if you use 1 partition for windows, another for my documnets and a third as a page file at the beginning of a second disc.

this leds to better organization and less defragmenting.
