When I open up MSCONFIG, and go to startup up. There is on my list a blank spot that has nothing. I did have a virus on my PC, but I removed it. I know that you can remove that stuff through regedit, but I don't know what to look for.

I was wondering the same thing...I did a quick google search and it seems to be from a program that didn't finish installing/uninstalling correctly. Therefore, it never got to it's clean up routine. Of course including the registry.

I believe that you are talking about the default key in the registry HKLM\Software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run

it's just blank with no value. Most of the registry has a default value which is shown as (default) but doesn't really have name so appears blank in most cases...

regedit startup

go to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre
ntVersion\Run

in your registry. this will show you the hidden program that run at startup, but don't show up in startup (msconfig). right click and delete the ones that you don't want

for all user on the computer, go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr
entVersion\Run

to delete keys
