Default Mscomct2.ocx

Seems I may have a possible program conflict here, when I try to install a new software, I get a message saying: Error: C:\WINDOWS\System32\MSCOMCT2.OCX
An error occured while trying to replace the existing file: DeleteFile failed; code 32 The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.

MSCOMCT2.OCX seems to be a Microsoft Windows Common Controls-2 6.0 Obviously, the goal is to temporarily 'block' this file while installing the new software, which I haven't had much luck so far. I may try to install the software in 'Safe Mode' as a last resort.
