MS Office icons

hey,
recently i noticed that all of the microsoft office icons have changed from what they are suppposed to be to the application icon(the square box). I have not been ale to find the icons to change them back manually and do not know if I should just reinstall office or is there some quick fix?
any help is appreciated!

you can do a repair from add remove programs. More than likely the icon files were removed when you were doing so system cleanup. the files are housed in %systemroot%\installer and are usually in a {guid} folder referensing the application. Repair is the best option, but you can reinstall if you so desire.
