MS-DOS 6.22 problem

I have an old PC with, MS-DOS 6.22, and it runs great, save for one major problem. It cannot find the CD drive. BIOS can find it, but not DOS. I've tried running mscdex, but I think I'm missing something. Any suggestions?

Two devices make your CD ROM work. You need your CDROM driver, usually a .sys file, and you need to load MSCDEX.EXE, which is shown above.
