mozilla and IE problems

Im having problems streaming some videos on eitehr mozilla or IE7, it either says manual install plugin on M.F or on IE the sound wont come while streaming some videos. like youtube, google and movies.yahoo wont w ork. the volume control wont show up on my task bar anymore even though its seleved in the options.
anyone know any solutions, this would really be thankful

Have you scanned for spyware, virus, malware and the likes?

Have you got the latest versions of Flash, shockwave and Java isntalled?

i got al the latest downloads and i have kaspersky, spy bot s&d and ad aware pro. Everything is updated and scanned and still problems occur?
