Is it possible to place a movie onto a cd-rw and play it on my TV? If I need software to do accomplish this, which would I need? Do I even need s/w to do this?

So I assume I can NOT play any movies from net to DVD player with cd-rw? Can someone please verify this for me?

So if it is No to DVD-R...how does it play DVD's? This is just your run of the mill DVD Players. Not a Divx compatable one. You would know if it was cause they cost extra. They are not $40-$60 at all.
 
Trust me, I didn't pay $40 - $60 for it. I bought it around 2002 - 2003. It was way more back then.
 
Back then they did not have support for Divx. Now a days that is a $40 DVD Player. Your out of luck have to burn them. If you are lucky they will work. But seeing as how your DVD Player doesnt support any DVD Formats you might be out of luck till you buy a new one.
