Default most stable OS

Hi,
what is in your advice the most stable windows OS?

I think that at the moment windows XP reached a good reliability, despite its uncertain start for this reason, I won't upgrade to Vista until I won't see the SP1 around

What is your favourite windows OS?

Falco

XP is about 60x more stable than Win98SE.

XP gets my vote on all categories.

I agree. Previous win versions were totally unstable, apart Win ME but you needed lots of tweaks to make it not crash often.

I can remember that the first time I bought windows 95 (first version, sold on 12 floppy disks ), it used to crash during the install!

I actually use Windows Vista RC1 right now. It is stable and it runs very well. I have only 1 application that doenst install right.

but XP would be the correct answer for most people.
