more than one use key?

probably a stupid question but my xp CD came from my fathers business pack,

he gave me a disk and it says on it

xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx (this is my key no you cant see)
Windows XP - professional SP1 - 2CPU OEM product




does this mean i can use it oon more than one pc, just once?

i know, im a nublet, noo more identification with the disk though. and my dad doesnt know

all depends on if the key has been activated or not. Oem keys are usually tied to the motherboard. So if its been activated it probably wont work.

bbeen activated once. on the computer im using now,

i just figured as my friends work in a school and they have one cdkey for like 40 machines. wondered if this was the same but for 2

Is this from the MS action pack? you will get unlimited activations on it although it will ask you to call after 3 or 4 activations.

EDIT: oh an your school might be using a corporate key that allows you to buy one VERY costly key an use it on as many computers they bought the licence for.

sort of like an action pack yeah, it came in a black CD case, with like 10 cds in it

That is just like the Activatio npack. But you can not have it activated on more than 1 machine at a time. That violates the TOS and EULA of Microsoft and Windows.
