Default "Missing Hal.dll"

Quote:

Default=C:\$WIN_NT$.~BT\BOOTSECT.DAT
[Operating Systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Micro soft Windows XP Home Edition" /fastdetect
C:\CMDCONS\BOOTSECT.DAT="Microsoft Windows Recovery Console" /cmdcons
C:\$WIN_NT$.~BT\BOOTSECT.DAT="Microsoft Windows XP Professional Setup"
I'm receiving the missing hal.dl problem

I don't see anything wrong with my Boot.ini, or is there?

click on check all boot paths, click yes to remove the invalid entry and then reboot. It may or may not find anything wrong, but this is a starting point.

Windows XP Setup - Missing HAL.DLL

Not sure if that helps, but it might.

Something is screwed with your Hardware Abstraction Layer...I would also reccomend a repair of the OS if correcting the boot entries does not work for you.
