I installed windows vista x64 ultimate last week and ive noticed on my 200gb harddrive, where the OS is, (186gb) after installed programs and such that it says ive used 110gb. Now if i open up that drive and add every folder size there it comes to 82.5 gb.
Its not adding folders that say "larger than 555mb" i updated that to show the correct amount. I've defragemented, didnt do anything.

Shadow Copies are backups of documents and other files that have had changes made to them. This is done in case of a system failure and allows you to gain back the work you might have lost. System Restore is not shown in the drive at all.

As for the cache files those can be cleaned along with the temp files. You can use CCleaner or nCleaner to clean those temp files and cache files up. See if it helps.
