Post Missing Files From CD

Has anyone else had this problem,,I know that on a driver disc there were driver files for the printer that I wanted to install, later when I went to install from the CD Disc the file that I wanted was missing.
Another time is when I wanted to re-install windows 98,I know that the files were all on the CD,it is an original one, same as the driver CD,again some files were missing from the CD.
Is there problem with CD burners,as I thought that once data/files/games etc were on a CD how can they go missing???

Any help please!!

Can you not just use the setup.exe for the printer?
Are the files you want hidden?

You can get printer drivers on the internet if you can't find them on your disks or cds. Is it a relatively new printer? If so it should be very easy to find...
