Default Mirar Toolbar

I recently acquired this [explitive deleted] toolbar. How? I don't know. It shows up as the NN_WebBand in my toolbars, but I can't uncheck it to get rid of it.

I need a way to get rid of this toolbar. I also need the answer usable for the Technologically Challenged (me).

Any help?

well what i dont quit understand the question you are trying to ask but it would seam as if u have sum form of ad-ware [spy-ware] sumtimes this happens to meand what i do if i dont wanna have to run an spyware removal program just go to Control Panel--> Add Remove program and see if you can find a program labeld "N_WebBand" or anything else that doesnt look rite then to be safe u could search it on google to make sure it has nothing to do with the operating system... then Uninstall it... restart ur computer and hopefully it will be gone..

Default Simplified version...

Question: What is the proper way to get rid of Mirar Toolbar (listed as NN_WebBand in View, Toolbars on IE6+)?

It is not listed in the Control Panel under Add/Remove Programs. And Ad-Aware does not get rid of it.

I'm doing that now and will do the scan as soon as I get back in.

Question: Is there anything in the report from the scan that should not be posted here for the world to see? I don't know, so I'm asking.

Thanks, it's is greatly appreciated.

You should go to google.com and do a search for spybot and use that for removing the adware. It is a very good program and very efficient at what it does.

Hmm, I found out that I can't attach a log file. So, it's copy and paste time. It's below.

I did see 2 items on the log file that I didn't need. I checked them and clicked fix. It removed the Mirar Toolbar, but it left the NN_WebBand under the View, Toolbars. However, I can uncheck it now. So, I'm sure there needs to be more that is fixed.
