Middle Mouse Button

I have a Microsoft wireless mouse, model 5000. When trying to do tutorials in Autodesk Alias Automotive 2014, you need the middle mouse button depressed to do certain operations. My middle mouse button does nothing when I try to do these operations. The operations include rotating and np scale. Does anyone know why my mouse won't do these procedures? Thanks!

A bit of googling reveals a few issues with middle mouse button on this model of mouse.

Might be worth picking up a new mouse. You can get them real cheap these days.

Out of interest though, does the middle mouse button work in other programs, such as browsers ?

if you down load the drivers and software for this mouse you can get the options to make different settings for each button on the mouse

There is a .pdf with the driver download that states there are known issues with this mouse using Vista and Office 07

Or Like kmanmx stated....the software does not like your mouse
