Default Microsoft office 97 and win2000

im trying to install office 97 on a win2k machine. I am logged in with admin rights and tried both typical and full installs but after i install it i can open up powerpoint, binder and all other apps that install except for Excel, access and word. the icons are there but when i try to open one of those 3 i get the message " please run setup from the location the program was installed in" any help. thanks

2 bad u weren't close by, I'd just give you a copy of Office 2000 w/reg codes....

There is a service patch that fixes this I believe. You should go to Windows update and soo what you can find. It's for office, not for WIN2k...
