Message Program For Network Use?

What program would i use to send IM's to other people on my home network? Like if i'm on computer A, and someone is on computer B, how could i send a message to them, which would pop up immediately for them to read (Both computers using win2kpro, both computers on the same network - workgroup)?

Does windows itself come equipped with a proggy for this?

I'm not aware of any program that would do this. But I'm sure that you could find a script that would enable you to do this...or you could write one.

Yeah. Just seems like a huge waste if there's no network chat program that enables you to msg others on your network (without having to use IM's and IRC, etc). Surely there's gotta be something out there.

I have about 30 programs Wan - LaN chat .

The best is free (?????) and the name is BORG CHAT
you will see all the users, file transfer, LAN share browse and other.

I am using this program with 35 PC hook with Cisco AirNet Bridges and repeaters.
