Default Message keeps coming up

Whenever I am away from my computer for a while and the switch user screen comes on where you have to click on the user name comes up to get back to my desktop I get the following msg comes up

I just click continue to get rid of it. My question is why is it coming up to begin with and how do I stop it from coming up?

thx

Edit: In event viewer, this is what I see:

Under admin events I get:

A timeout (30000 milliseconds) was reached while waiting for a transaction response from the ShellHWDetection service.

The ScRegSetValueExW call failed for Start with the following error:
Access is denied.

Under windows logs:

The ScRegSetValueExW call failed for Start with the following error:
Access is denied.

If you need me to look elsewhere I will.

Thx Guys

That is a timeout error. It is very common when your network is trying to do something and being logged off the accounts doesnt allow for the network to operate. Having your system go to the User Selection Screen after it goes to the screen saver will cause this every time and only way to fix it is to stop what ever network programs you have running.

anything that tries to access the web is a network program. So if you leave your email program open, it will try to access the network. It may not be your local network but it is still trying to use the network connection to get access to the web. Since it isnt logged in, it hits the time out.

Mak, I have the following programs in my sys tray. MSE virus signature updater which is set to check for updates upon PC bootup, Phonetray, MSE, Smooth Program scheduler, Tuneup utilitties, Superanti spyware, comodo firewall and Spamfighter. Is there any way of telling which one might be the culprit? Probs not but I had to ask.

thx

I'd say disable everything under msconfig>startup. Recheck one by one till the error comes back, if it does come back....

If it still does it, uninstall .net and reinstall it.

MSE accesses the web for updates. Comodo accesses the web. It isnt that hard to figure out which ones access the web. Almost all of them update or get updates from teh web.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Could this be more help for someone to help me get rid of this error>

thx
