Menu display issues - Windows XP

Hello All,
I am having a bit of an issue and I am trying to avoid a simple re-image of the machine. It involves a band new HP 7800 slim, running Windows XP.

When I click on any menu, including opening the right click menu anywhere, the options of the menu do not show up until you mouse over them. All I get when I click on a menu (like file, edit, ect) is a shadowed outline of it, until I start mouse overing them, then they display normally one at a time.

Have any of you seen this before and/or have a fix for it? I'm stumped!

Edit: I have tried all adjustments with the fx driver... Including transparency and a few others... No luck! Thanks again.

This would be due more to the theme you are using than anything. Are you using the default XP theme or something else?

Default (blue) windows xp theme.

What graphics card and drivers do you have?
