Default Memory spikes?

Every 30 seconds my computer freezes for a couple of seconds then goes back to running normal... get these huge memory spikes I think when I go Alt Ctrl Del and check mem usage it peaks when I get the freezing. I ran spyware scans, antivirus, CCleaner and registry scans don't know whats going on.. I hope nothing wrong with RAM if all fails. By the way I restart my computer maybe twice a week... is it bad to leave the comp on all the time?

Download and run Memtest86 from a livecd. Run it for at least 4 hours and see if it returns any errors about your RAM.

thanks, I'll run the memory test tonight.

I just realised it mainly happens when I am on youtube watching clips and the spikes happen more like every 5 seconds not 30. I took a screen shot and only happens on 1 core.

I'm beginning to think it's a Java problem causing memory leaks, but I could be wrong.
