Default Media file problems.

Hi all. I am using XP Pro and I am havin serious problems viewing media files in the following programs. Windows Media Player, DivX, and VLC. The only thing that does work is quicktime, but I can't convert things to work there. The video's do play, but when they are viewing, the screen is blurry and the color distorted. Any help would be GREATLY appriciated. Thanks.

is the display only messed up within the video or your whole screen? if it's just in the media player it could be a codec issue or the actual file, but if the display is messed up all the time it's probably your video card or resolution settings

Just the area where the video is playing. Would 3 video players be affected if it was a codec? It's not all video's, it mainly seems to be "Video File" extensions, and the files from places like http://big-boys.com

I would post a screen shot, but when I take one it appears black.
