Default .mdf and .mds files

I have two files that are supposed to be the trial of Windows XP 64 Bit Edition. I burnt these files to a cd however, and when i restarted to boot from it, it siad there was an error and asked me how i wanted to start windows. How do I install these .mdf and .mds files? (note: The MDF is 503mb and the other is 486bytes)

Burn with Blindwrite or Alcohol. .mdf is an image file, if you burn it and it doesnt work, its probably corrupt.
