I replaced the power supply on my media center pc. Works fine upstairs on my kvm switch, when I try to boot on my tv the last thing i see is the xp boot screen before it goes to a black screen, and it's not just a video issue the box actually locks up. can't ping, can't rdp. It has all the updates, I've tried the latest nvidia drivers, a different card. nothing. occasionally I can get it to boot on the tv in 1680x1050 but never in full res. I can change it to 1920x1080 and use it but on reboot it always hangs up.
It ended up being the new drivers for my soundcard. or the pci slot it was in. either way it's solved
