heya,

Quick and probably dumb question, but is windows xp Media centre edition a complete Os or an add-on for windows xp home/pro.

does it have the same start interface as xp home or the same functions or is it just a completely basic xp with extra visual interface for media??

is it most like home with extras or pro with extras as it is extremely cheap in comparison to pro normally???

( side note, Warez Monster I live in Ky too.. mind if I ask generally where abouts?)

I just got my new system up and running. I run MCE. It's cool I'de recommend it. There's a few neat differences. First off there's a program for WMP called Party Mode.

When you have parties it can lock your desktop to this cool interface for songs and/or videos whatever you allow, and your files cant be accessed without a password.

lol but surely if ure havin a party then every1 there are ppl u like so there should be no need for a password. I wouldnt use party mode anyway got a basement that i converted into a 3 room night club is awesome with fog machine lights bar and dj decks with a deciated computer

Actually MCE is a version of Pro with the added Media Center functions. Mainly why i use it instead of Pro. If i ever decide to use the media center, i have the option to.
