Default MAYA rendering

I tried to render this boat I made in maya, and there are a lot of pixely gray dots all over the edges and inside the boat. There are also big rectangles on the inside. Anyone know what settings I should use for rendering? thanx

Samsung QX410 notebook <-- lol, I'm always on the go these days :(

make sure you are using full resolution and try to change the color of it maybe that would help :beard:

see by changing the OpenGL settings, as Maya relies on OpenGL, rather than D3D.

post a picture of your render. not sure what you are saying. it might be you don't have raytracing set up properly or you are setting up your lights wrong. maya defaults to its software render which relys entirely on CPU. OpenGL and D3D is not needed
