Managed to destroy my Registry ... really need help!!!

I was using aslogics reg cleaner and after it told me to reboot i did, but now all i get is the blue screen of death. Cant even get to safe mode.

Luckily Linux still boots.

How do I revert back the changes? I have loads of important stuff there (emails etc.) and I really dont want install XP again...

Any programs I could use to save the **** thing?

Do a repair install of Windows. It is an option when you boot from the Windows CD.

A repair might not work as you say the registry is bunk. A repair install only replaces teh Windows files. The registry is not touched. The reason i say this is because you can do a repair and still have all your games and everything installed and running.

Might have to format. Try a repair first. But i dont think it will work.

Try the repair install. Can't hurt. I am thinking that system restore might be the ticket, but you can't boot the thing so that won't do. I am sure that there are some command line tricks to fix your registry from the repair console but for the life of me I can't think what they are.
