Making PDFs

I'd love to send people my PDFs and have them converted for me, but there's just two problems with that.

1. I probably already have the right software (Illustrator 10, acrobat 6, etc)

2. If I sent you the files, you could convert them, but then you'd have to have a lobotomy done and surrender your PC.

What format are they in now?
Just go into Adobe Acrobat (provided that you have the full version) and click on create PDF and choose from file. Then locate the file and sit back and wait for the "PC to crash".

I just used Acrobat 6.0 to make a PDF. The file size was a bit higher than the Word doc, but that's okay. The quality is a bit off, though. I'm a graphic designer by nature and I notice the details.

Is there a way to control the quality output for PDFs? I like the little to-PDF toolbar in Word, but I don't see a way to alter the quality from there.
