Default Making a linux live cd

Well I got a black cd and have nero 6 installed. Once I download a image file for linux, how would I burn it to a cd? Would I go into "data" then click on Make a bootable disc or go into "Copy and backup" and click Burn image to disc. just making sure which one.

And can anyone point me to the best iso to download for this?

and make sure you select iso's in the drop down file type menu. Nero always defaults to nrg. Nero compulations.

What do you want the live cd for? What purpose? That would help in choosing a good one.
