Making a bootable cd

What software can I use to make a bootable cd? Hopefully, something with simple instructions.

Are you burning a ISO? Or are you trying to create a bootable XP CD? Need some info on what you are trying to burn to be able to give guidance.

I am burnong an ISO but beforehand is says I need to create a bootable CD. Or can I just use poweriso and burn it like I normally would?

Hello,

ISO's are usually already bootable. Depending on what they are of. But most of hte time when you have a ISO and burn it, the resulting disc will be bootable. You can use PowerISO or ImgBurn.

Magic ISO lets you see if a disk is bootable, it's a much more versitile tool than most DVD / CD authoring tools out there.

While i fully agree with you. Different types of boot able CD's need different types of files. A boot able XP CD needs a very specific type of file. Which you can generate. As for Software like GParted or Linux they wouldn't need the same type of info.

That is why i asked what they were trying to burn so that i could advise correctly.
