Made a mistake

While doing a fresh install of vista, I accidently deleted the partition of the hard drive containing all my files. It wasn't formatted just the partition deleted. I havn't used the drive since then, I know all the files are there but just need to recover them. Does anyone know of free or nearly free software I can use to recover the files. A program that preserves the file names as well. Thanks.

There is Recuva and Pandora File Recovery that i know of. not sure if they will do what you need. But they are the most common ones suggested.

Look up "Ultimate Boot CD" its a 170MB download of an .iso with a TON of utilities to use, it is OS independent so no worries about having to boot into anything but the CD

The CD contains a number of Partition Recovery Softwares, i have never used any of them so this is only a suggestion
