What site are you linking to to try and download? Are you using Mozilla to install it or IE? What happens when you go to http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/...ShockwaveFlash and click install?

well i click Download Now in Internet Explorer and it says "When you see the installation completion movie above and text below, your installation was successful. The installation should only take a minute or two on a 56k modem." i right click the Macromedia flash player image and i got Macromedia Flash player 6 and no information bar comes up what so ever any ideas...nothing happens it just sits there not installing anything

Look in add remove programs for any flash stuff and uninstall it. Open IE Options, on the General tab click Settings then click View Objects. Look for all Flash/shockwave and delete them. Then try it again.

The newest flash player is version 8.

Version 7/MX2004 is history.

Download the newest Flash here:
