i have never been into the bios of this computer. and without specific directions, i wouldn't know how to get there.

well, i am pretty sure i have this fixed. it does go to sleep, finnaly. i ended up doing a self repair option from safe mode, that put the computer back to the last known good start. so i have no idea how many of the things that i played with got returned to where they originally were. right now, i am not even going to check it out. as my laptop just died, and i do not want to be completely with out a computer.
