Default lost windows logon prompt???

I have a user who cannot get to the windows logon prompt.
They go straight to windows on boot up for a user who has no priveliges whatsoever--can't access run or control panel etc so cannot find the admin account.
There is no option to logoff either.
Must have been done with poledit but can't see how I can get to the logon prompt to get into admin account :-(

I think pressing shift bypasses that. Then, from there you can set it via the user accounts control panel... see if that hotkey works. If not, try the control and alternate buttons until it bypasses autologon.

When do I press shift or ctrl/alt? Do I press them together?

You press it on system boot.. after the "Windows 2000" white screen... doing that bypasses autologon.
