lost password

i lost my windows xp 2001 password i tried the safe mode thing and it never worked and i tried to reinstall with a disk but the disk does not start running it just loads up and askes for a password

use this program http://home.eunet.no/pnordahl/ntpasswd/bootdisk.html read the instructions and download it from the bottom of the page , but be aware that it wont work if windows was shutdown improperly (if you clicked the reset button or clicked the power button for a few seconds without releasing til it powered off) so if you didnt shutdown it properly then do so first before using the program mentioned above
