Lost contacts folder

Just switched to Office 2003 Pro, from XP Pro a couple of weeks ago.

This morning I noticed my contacts folder is gone from Outlook. I can still access it through the menus, but would like it to appear in my Personal Folders list like before. Anyone have tips?

I'm still using the same .pst as before. Shouldn't the contacts folder have come along?

No. The Contacts are saved as a .csv file which is not a part of the .pst file.

Suggest that you export your contacts into csv or excel then import it on a new .pst.
You may also do above to your mails. It is tedious but worth it.

The contacts are part of the .pst, at least the way I have it set up. I transfer this .pst between 2 computers, and the contacts always come along.

I could get into the contacts folder, so it was there. Just didn't show up in my folder list, for some reason.

But, I just selected Contacts from the Go menu, and behold the folder reappeared in my folder list in the left. Just a weird fluke, I guess.
