I have bought an ACER Aspire 4315 Vista. Since I bought it i lose sometimes one or two gigabytes withouth reason.
I only have on the C drive 13 Gig left and on the D drive 21 Gig. On the D drive the ACER Empower use it for back up.
What could be the reason and how to fix this?.
I use Kaspersky as antivirus.

Greateful for an answer.

well as you add things to your computer your backup directory increases in size. I'm willing to bet that it started at like 1 or 2gb and will grow whereas HP/Compaq and others have it as a set partition of like 20gb.

Could be due to Hibernation being enabled. Could be due to Shadow Copies being on. Could be due to the Indexing. Could be temp files.

Have you cleared all your temp files from program installs and your browsers?

acer usually use d drive for data which is a good thing. check your restore points too
