I currently use an outliner application for Windows called ActionOutline. It works great but I now want to take my notes to other devices (Android, iOS). Unfortunately, ActionOutline uses a proprietary format for notes.
On Android and iOS, I use apps that allow me to very easily traverse a folder/file tree full of simple text files.
I am looking for something similar on Windows that works on folders and files, showing a tree outline in a left pane and file contents in a right pane. I can then sync this up with DropBox and have my notes available on all devices.
There are plenty of Windows note taking applications, but they either use proprietary formats, have no folder structure or same content as HTML, XML or something else.
Does anybody have any recommendations?
