Hi everybody, I'm a new user of the forum and I don't know I this the right category.
However I would continue: I've got a pc. It's an hp pc e it has about 1000 gb. But I often reset my system, so I want to create a logical partition. But i've the following questions:
1- into a logical partition , can I save my data like music, pictures, film... ?
2- how much can a logical partition be big ( for example: 30gb, 90... ?
3- could you suggest a program to create a partition ?

Thank you for your answers

1. Yes
2. Once you start going over 2TB (IIRC), you need to format the disc as GPT vs MBR, and then you can have as many partitions as you want. As far as max size of a logical partition..there isn't really a max size, besides the 2TB disk limit imposed by MBR.
3. Highly recommend GParted, as it's (in my opinion) must easier to use than the Windows Partition Editor, as it's a nice GUI, and does multiple checks prior to actually performing the partition resize. You can get the GParted LiveCD from here: GParted -- A free application for graphically managing disk device partitions
