Hi, I would like to know how to lock windows files, in Xp, I would like to keep data away from other users of my pc, eg bank statements, e-mail addresses etc

The best way to stop people from viewing certain files is probably to use some form of encryption. Finecrypt is a good free encryption program.

Alternatively you could compress the files in a zip file and password protect that.

I-protect is a program that enable u to place a password on the folder u wanna protect.

there is another prog called ( Fake folder ) its so simple , i searched it for u but i cant find a link for it....sorry , well u know get its name...u should try getting it somehow

AHHH! You strike again talldude! Quit bringing back old, dead threads. I think that every one of those 140 posts you have have been to bring back an old thread. Not to mention you give pretty vague or incorrect advice.
