The Q drive could be a virtual drive. Did or have you installed anything on your pc recently and if so, what did you install?

Sorry..I downloaded a 'Microsoft Office Starter' program..to use. That is where this q: drive is coming from.

Hello. Somehow I am sure that this q:drive is connected with a Microsoft Starter program I downloaded. The name of this drive changed to apps/q:

Microsoft Office Starter 2010 uses the Application Virtualization (App-V) technology. This, therefore, requires the creation of a Virtual Drive. By default the drive letter for this virtual drive is Q:. Some systems may use the letter R: instead of Q: without any difference in features or performance.

I now believe (know) that the q:drive is associated with a MS Starter program I have installed recently.
