Loaded Task manager

I have a crapload of things running the backround and i'm not entirely sure on what I can and cannot have running. I know that windows 2000 isn't like widows 98 where I can have nothing in the backround except explorer and i'd be fine. what can I do without and what do I need?

Here's a great site to see exactly "what is what" and if it's safe to stop or disable the process.
