I run XP Pro and use Acronis True Image for backup. If you're not familiar with True Image one of its functions is to create a Secure Zone which is disk space set aside to store images on. It is not accessible by any OS files, therefore cannot be corrupted by Windows.

Now I'd like to set up a dual boot with with XP Pro and Linux. Just wondering if this will prevent me from utilizing TrueImage. I'm thinking if I want to image my linux partition I can just boot into windoze and do it like normal right?

Would installing linux prevent me from using the Secure Zone feature?

I think I'm going to take my chances and try this soon, just wondering if anyone has any input on it first.

well, i don't think that would work as windows can't read LFS patitions, unless something has changed... as to how acronis works, I'm not sure, maybe you can tell me... does it grab the whole partition or is it a data structure backup/delta system?

I don't really understand your question but it works pretty similar to Norton Ghost.
