Default Linux download

I just want to know, what Linux version/s can run on NTFS or FAT32? and where could I download them?
- I downloaded Redhat Linux 9 not knowing that it doesn't run on NTFS

you need to partition your hard drive to the linux formats, ext2 or 3 and then install it.

If you want to try Linux without having to partition, you can look at Phat Linux, which installs itself on your Windows partition, or a Live CD such as Knoppix or Slackware Live, which run straight off a CD and don't require any installation.

OK then, but is there a free version I can install on a Windows partition?
one of my friends told me Mandrake can install on FAT32, is this true?

Apparently it IS possible, but I haven't tried it myself so I can't really offer any tips.

yes u need to dl all 3 cds. from looking at the redhat ftp site they are:

shrike-i386-disc1.iso
shrike-i386-disc2.iso
shrike-i386-disc3.iso

all of the 'shrike-SRPMS-disc#.iso' files are just the source cds.
