Just to let you know, this is the first Linux release that I have been able to do anything in it, that I can do in Windows. (Most Linux users probably can already do this, but I'm Linux Learning Impared. )

I am still learning Wine, but it runs Notepad fine.

linux has flavors for everyone. best thing to do is to try them out and see what you prefer.
