I rencently tryed to reinstall Windows XP on my other laptop. I was trying to start fresh with it and completly delete everything on it. I used the XP CD to reinstall and I got a few messages throughout installing saying a few certain files were missing. It finished and everything I had was still on there, I wanted it to be completly flushed out and my keyboard doesn't work. I tryed to reinstall my keyboard but it says I need to show the location of a certain file which I can't find.

Can anyone help me, completly clean my laptop and make the keyboard work again?

Thanks!

Seems like it may have skipped over some essential drivers. When you boot off the CD you get to a point in the install where it tells you to choose the partition. Select the partion and at the next screen select "format drive using NTFS" then it should prompt you about an OS already being on the drive and it will be destroyed. Then one more screen saying push "F" to format. After you do that it will format and run the installer.
