laptop OS installation problem

Hey techs,

Im installing Win2k pro on a dimension 4000 laptop. but it doesn't install the driver.cab file. I skipped the file and Win2000 works perfectly. Does anyone know it I will need this file?

You'll need it eventually. This cab file (cab = cabnet) contains drivers for various hardware pieces. Just copy the file from the CD to the C:\WINNT\Driver Cache\i386 folder (or whatever drive letter your windows installation sits on.
