LAN Driver Problem

Should I just uninstall all the hotfix and MS window updates?

For Vista, doesnt allow you to expand, just gives the KB #...should I just uninstall all of them and they reinstall them one by one to see which one caused this? This is assuming that after I reinstall all of them, the LAN works.

Well, I wouldnt if I were you, this may be asking for more issues but if you feel like you have nothing to loose, then go ahead and see if that makes a difference. :D

Might be easier to just reinstall the OS...but then I would need to slowly install all the updates.

Well if thats the case, do ahead and either:

Reinstall and take note of each update that is applied and what it fixes/updates, etx

or

Roll-Back the updates now, reboot and see if it changes anything with the NIC

Well, IDK, there could be a security issue with the NIC software/driver that needed to be updated, I really don't know. :freak:

OK, thanks, will install all the regular updates and hotfixes, if that doesnt do it, will reinstall Vista.

Well, that didnt work, guess I will have to image my drive and reinstall the OS.

Does anybody know any good freeware drive imaging software?

I've never done it, any helpful clues to make it effective?

Thanks.

CloneZilla is the only free imaging software out there that i know of. At least for Windows.
