lame mp3 hard drive free space

If I rip an album at 192 lame mp3, how much space does each album take up on my hard drive/music partition? I've got 24.5gb space free, will this do me for a long time?

Its ok. close thread - ive worked it out:-

1024mb = 1gb
one album = 85 mb
1024 x 24.5 (free space) = 25088
25088 / 85 = 295 .

295 albums left for storage. Sorry for any confusion and feel free to correct me if my calculation is wrong.

Give or take 85MB roughly. Some albums have more songs, some the songs are longer, there is no precise size. I would recommend getting an external hard drive. It would be handy to keep all your music in one place without worrying about how much space you have left. That and keeping a back-up is nice in case of unforeseen events i.e. viruses, hard drive failure, etc.
